What is a GoStool?

and why do i make them?  to answer these questions, lets first take a look at the western toilet.  first installed for Queen Elizabeth I, the flush toilet with a bowl that is sat upon offers more dignity for the user than physiological function, and now the western pedestal toilet is almost exclusively used throughout Europe and North America.

so the pedestal toilet is relatively recent history, and humans for ages and currently in most of asia and the less developed parts of the world – squat.  squatting is and has been the natural elimination posture and it is in this position that key muscles involved in continence are fully relaxed, allowing the rectum to straighten , and elimination can happen with much less strain and pressure.

pressure?  what about pressure?

have you ever had hemorrhoids?  i’m not going to apologize for getting right into an uncomfortable subject right out of the gates – most people i talk to have hemorrhoids at one time or another.  usually they resolve themselves, so not that big of a deal.  some suffer chronically.  hemorrhoids are the result of too much internal pressure during defecation.  did you know that by age 50, half of all americans have experienced hemorrhoidal pain?  that alone is reason enough for me to make GoStool.

knees up, everbody!  more soon.Gostool.eric 131x150 What is a GoStool?
